MoneyInFuture is built around a simple principle: your financial data is yours. We do not collect, store, or transmit any personal or financial information that you enter into our calculators.

Data We Do Not Collect

  • Investment amounts, income, or expense figures you enter
  • Calculator inputs or outputs
  • Personal identification information
  • Device identifiers or fingerprints
  • Browsing history on this site

Cookies

MoneyInFuture does not use tracking cookies of any kind. All preference data is stored exclusively in your browser's localStorage — this data never leaves your device and is never sent to any server. localStorage is completely different from cookies: it is never transmitted with HTTP requests and is only accessible to JavaScript running on the same domain.

Analytics

We do not use Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, or any third-party analytics service. There are no tracking scripts on this website.

Third-Party Libraries

Some pages may load MathJax (a mathematical formula renderer) from a CDN when TeX formulas are present. This is the only external network request made by the site. MathJax does not collect personal data. All other JavaScript (engine.js, shared.js, html2canvas, jsPDF) is served from the same domain.

Local Storage

We store the following keys in your browser's localStorage to improve your experience. None of this data is transmitted anywhere:

  • theme — your preferred light/dark mode
  • moneyinfuture_finance_level — your selected Finance Profile Level (Simple, Investor, or Professional)
  • moneyinfuture_onboarding_completed — whether the welcome level-selection popup has been shown
  • moneyinfuture_user_prefs — calculator display preferences (sliders, words, color coding, graph, table, inflation, taxation, decimal places)
  • moneyinfuture_shared_prefs — last-used return rate, years, and inflation rate across calculators
  • sidebar-collapsed — sidebar layout preference

You can clear all saved preferences at any time from the Finance Profile Levels page using the "Reset Preferences" button, or by clearing your browser's site data for this domain.

We may update this policy as the site evolves. The "last updated" date at the top of this page reflects when it was last revised.
